Role Overview:
The Business Analyst will lead product definition for the Workers Compensation line of business, ensuring the Policy Administration system meets regulatory requirements. This role involves analyzing regulatory documents, gathering business requirements, and guiding customers in adopting best practices within the product. Where customization is needed, the analyst will document requirements, assess product impact, and help design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain deep knowledge of the Policy Administration system, including user interface, configuration tools, and integrations.
- Review and interpret regulatory documents, documenting impacts on the product.
- Partner with customers to gather requirements and align them with product capabilities.
- Conduct walkthroughs of product features, identifying standard functions vs. required customizations.
- Produce documentation such as business requirements, functional specs, workflows, and traceability matrices.
- Facilitate requirements discussions and solution design.
- Configure product features (non-programming) to meet business needs.
- Support testing, peer reviews, training, and customer engagement as a subject matter expert.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5–8 years of Business Analyst experience, with at least 2 years in the insurance industry.
- Workers Compensation insurance experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in application development/implementation projects in Agile environments (JIRA preferred).
- Strong communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail, customer orientation, and ability to manage ambiguity.
- Knowledge of the system development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Strong ethics and professionalism.
Work Setup / Arrangements
- Open to working night shifts
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days per week onsite
- Willing to report onsite in Makati
