Job Description

OVERVIEW:

The Budget and Forecasting Supervisor acts as the primary business partner and is in charge of monitoring and analyzing data relating to sales and related costs. The role is also responsible in overseeing the preparation, analysis, and management of the company's budget and financial forecasts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Budget Preparation and Management

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including the development of budget templates, timelines, and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with department heads to gather budget inputs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Review and consolidate departmental budgets into a comprehensive company-wide budget.

Financial Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to predict future financial performance.
  • Analyze historical data and market trends to provide accurate and timely forecasts.
  • Present forecast updates to senior management and recommend adjustments as needed.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying and explaining variances.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Communicate financial results and forecasts to stakeholders, particularly to senior management.
  • Provide training and support to department heads on budgeting and forecasting processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Professional Certification (Advantage)

  • Certified Public Accountant

Experience

  • With at least 2 - 3 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and analysis.
  • Candidates who have worked in the similar role and industry (Real Estate) would have an advantage.

Knowledge

  • Accounting Operations for Real Estate Development
  • MS Office Applications particularly Excel
  • Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (i.e., SAP)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results oriented, adaptable and quick to learn.
