Job Summary
The Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that drive business growth, increase market share, and strengthen brand equity for assigned food or consumer goods brands. The role leads the end-to-end brand management process, including consumer insights, new product development, marketing campaigns, portfolio management, and business performance analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual brand plans aligned with the company's business and revenue objectives.
- Drive brand growth through effective positioning, pricing, promotions, and innovation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to expand market share, improve brand equity, and increase profitability.
- Conduct market and consumer analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
- Monitor category performance, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Translate consumer insights into actionable marketing and commercial strategies.
- Lead the end-to-end development and launch of new products from concept through commercialization.
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, QA, and Regulatory teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Manage product lifecycle, including renovations, packaging improvements, SKU optimization, and discontinuation of underperforming products.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across traditional, digital, trade, and in-store channels.
- Plan and implement product launches, promotions, consumer activations, and merchandising initiatives.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication and customer touchpoints.
- Partner with Sales and Trade Marketing to develop channel-specific programs and promotional activities.
- Work closely with Finance on pricing, budget planning, and profitability analysis.
- Coordinate with external agencies, media partners, and suppliers for campaign execution.
- Manage the assigned brand's marketing budget and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Monitor sales performance, market share, campaign effectiveness, and return on marketing investment (ROI).
- Prepare business reviews and recommend strategies to improve brand performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in Brand Management, Product Management, or Marketing within the Food Manufacturing, FMCG, or Consumer Goods industry.
- Proven experience managing consumer brands, preferably in food, beverage, dairy, snacks, frozen foods, condiments, or packaged goods.
- Experience in new product development (NPD), product launches, and brand campaigns.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market research, brand strategy, and portfolio management.
- Excellent analytical, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
