Job Description

About the Role

Responsible for over-all management of all the brands of the company. Actively engages in search for new products to improve the product offering of the company. Responsible for managing marketing, advertising, and promotional activities; pricing and discounting; in order to provide essential support to Sales department in achieving their Sales Targets while maintaining acceptable margin percentage.

Responsibilities

BRAND MANAGEMENT

  • Performs Brand Business Review semi-annually (July & January) alongside Marketing staff and other Managers of the company.
  • Gathers pertinent information from Sales and Operations, analyzes the information, then develops and recommends alongside other company Managers strategies on the following:
  • Sales Achievements and Targets
  • Branding
  • Market Share
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Merchandising
  • A&P Activities & Budget
  • Inventory Position
  • Purchase Commitment
  • Creates business review presentation on the strategies for the President's review and approval.

NEW PRODUCT / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Actively engages in sourcing of potential Brands/Products to carry.
  • Gathers pertinent information from Sales and Operations on:
  • Brand/Product Market
  • Competitive
  • Demographic Data
  • Distribution
  • Financial
  • Develops and recommends alongside other company Managers Business plan for President's approval to wit:
  • Propose Order
  • Price Structure
  • A&P activities
  • Forwards details of new items to the Inventory Analyst for them to perform Item Registry and Price Update in the system.
  • Coordination and finalization with Principal on order and arrival of items alongside Operations.
  • Implements product launch and provides sales tools such as price list, product proposal, samples, standard commission, and merchandising collaterals and visuals to Sales and Operations.
  • Gathers feedback and Post Evaluation report from Sales, analyzes customer insight and recommends changes to marketing and business development strategies.

ADVERTISING & PROMOTION

  • Performs Semi-annual planning sessions and collaborates with sales and operations to develop strategic partnership activities to support them.
  • Leads the Marketing team in conceptualization of marketing program for the whole year and set-up A&P budget and folders for the President and Boards approval.
  • Creates and submits full year's Marketing Calendar, Promo timelines, and Guidelines to Operations for their review.
  • Conceptualizes with marketing staff project briefs based on the A&P calendar, and establish, propose and monitor the right budget to insure effective marketing activities for the President's approval.
  • Spearheads coordination meeting with Operations to discuss timelines and guidelines of the A&P Project.
  • Coordinates with and provides A&P tools for the effective implementation of the A&P Project.
  • Regularly visits the market to see actual ground implementation, conditions and generate feedback from the market.
  • Gathers feedback and Post Evaluation report from Sales, analyzes and recommends improvements for next year's A&P conceptualization.

PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

  • Maintains records and information database on all Principals that the company is doing business with.
  • Performs regular communication with Principal verbal or written regarding below matters:
  • Day-to-day Business updates (daily/weekly)
  • Promotions (monthly)
  • Purchase Order (quarterly)
  • Purchase Commitment (annually)

  • Serves as the ambassador of the company to Principal Visitors by welcoming and attending to them during their visit. Creates and arranges schedule and itinerary required to assure smooth flow of business discussion and trade check with the Principal visitor.
  • Spearheads alignment meeting with Sales & Operations in preparation to Principal trade check.
  • Performs trade check to validate preparedness of the trade to be visited by the Principal.
  • Creates and presents power point presentation on Business updates and agendas as requested by the Principal.
  • Requires re-ordering template from Operations, reviews and analyzes the information alongside Marketing Staff and company Managers on items for purchase and recommends orders to President for his approval, and then sends approved order to Principal.
  • Regularly discusses and inquire from Principals new products that can be ordered and carried by the company.
  • Recommends initial order quantity to the president for approval and then sends the order to the Principal.

MARGIN PERCENTAGE

  • Semi-annually reviews with Marketing Staff price structure to achieve maximum profitability without hurting the market.
  • Acquires price structure from Inventory analyst, reviews and analyzes the price/margin structure, plan and conceptualize strategies and proposes new price/margin structure for the President's approval.
  • Coordinates with marketing staff the application of approved new prices in the system.
  • Creates alongside marketing staff creation of Internal and External memo on the new price structure and forwards it to Sales team for dissemination and implementation.
  • Gathers feedback from Sales, discusses and analyzes information gathered with Marketing Staff, and creates evaluation report for the President's approval.

RETAIL STORES SALES INCREASE

  • Establishes together with Marketing Staff merchandising guidelines and customer service standards to create an impactful customer experience in the stores and forwards it to Operations Assistant for implementation and cascading to sales promoters.
  • Creates full year round activities specifically to draw the market in to the store.

PROPER HANDLING OF ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS THAT MAY BE DESIGNATED

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by immediate superior within an agreed schedule and timeline, and present updates during weekly meetings with the President and the team

JOB SPECIFICATION, COMPETENCIES AND PROFILE

Educational Background

Graduate of BS Marketing or any Business Course; With MBA/Master's Degree is an Advantage

Work Experience

At least 5 years related experience or training in Brand Management & Marketing in the Pharmaceutical / FMCG Industry

Technical Skills

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
