The Brand Manager will be responsible for forecasting, buying, and allocating items within the assigned department/category. This role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for market trends, and the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers.
The Category Merchandising Manager will also manage the entire buying process, facilitate sales and stock plans, and present findings and strategies to top management.
The job includes:
1. Merchandise Selection and Buying
Prepare merchandise selections during the scheduled buying process and ensure thorough items documentation.
2. Forecasting and Trend Analysis
Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast demand.
Develop accurate projections for product assortment, sales, and inventory needs.
3. Sales and Stock Planning
Develop and implement sales and stock plans for each store.
Ensure the right assortment mix based on local customer preferences, store size, and location.
4. Supplier Negotiations and Product Development
Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers.
Collaborate with different teams to enhance product offerings.
5. Reporting and Strategy
Prepare and present comprehensive reports and strategies to top management.
Adjust plans based on sales performance and market analysis.
The job seeks:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing Management, or any related field.
at least 2 years of experience in merchandising or product management, preferably in fashion or retail industry.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
