Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and analyze patient accounts to identify and resolve credit balances.
  • Process refunds and adjustments in accordance with company policies and payer guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate posting of payments and collections.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to overpayments or duplicate payments.
  • Maintain documentation of all actions taken on accounts for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Ensure timely resolution of credit balances to support revenue cycle efficiency.
  • Respond to inquiries from patients, payers, and internal stakeholders professionally and promptly.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements in handling sensitive financial and patient information.
