Job Description

We are hiring two Bookkeeping Team Leads to join our growing team. Both roles require strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Both will lead and mentor a high-performing team by setting clear KPIs and fostering a positive, collaborative culture. You will ensure strict compliance with ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards while driving process improvements and operational efficiency across all functions. In addition, you will work closely with management and actively support client-facing interactions to deliver exceptional service and maintain strong relationships.

While they share common responsibilities in team management, process improvement, and compliance, each role has a distinct focus:

Role 1: Bookkeeping Team Lead Onboarding

Focus: Managing the onboarding process for new clients and ensuring a smooth transition to ongoing services.

  • Lead client onboarding activities, including Xero balance conversions and month-end reporting packs.
  • Conduct health checks on client systems and participate in discovery calls.
  • Review GST and compliance reports during onboarding.
  • Support Client Managers and Operations Director with onboarding updates.
  • Drive process improvements and maintain internal controls during transition.

Bookkeeping Team Lead Ongoing

Focus: Overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping operations and ensuring timely, accurate service delivery for existing clients.

  • Supervise bookkeepers and all bookkeeping functions (AR, AP, treasury, bank reconciliations).
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end closing and payroll review.
  • Monitor team performance and manage utilization.
  • Maintain internal controls and standardized processes.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications for Both Roles

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance-related courses.
  • CPA license required.
  • Minimum 23 years in a supervisory or team leader role within the ANZ market.
  • Xero-certified with strong project management and process improvement skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in offshore/BPO industry is essential.
