As a Bookkeeper, you will be a dedicated force behind a premier Canadian CPA firm. This isn't just data entry; you are the architect of financial clarity. By transforming raw client documents into pristine, reconciled records, you provide the essential foundation that allows senior accountants to deliver high-level tax and financial strategies to Canadian businesses.
Your Impact
- Master of Multi-Platform Bookkeeping: Take full ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping for a diverse client portfolio. You will seamlessly navigate Xero and QuickBooks Online to process bank statements, credit cards, and expenses, ensuring every transaction is coded with surgical precision.
- Champion of Payroll & Compliance: Execute critical payroll journal entries via Wagepoint and support the firm's regulatory obligations. You'll play a key role in preparing GST/HST filings and ensuring that payroll reports are reconciled and audit-ready.
- Driver of Review-Ready Quality: Elevate the standard of our digital working papers. By maintaining organized general ledgers and AR/AP subledgers, you ensure that month-end and year-end files are delivered with minimal review notes, directly accelerating the firm's reporting cycle.
What You Bring
- The Experience: At least 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a multi-client or public practice firm environment.
- The Toolkit: Expert-level proficiency in Xero (Required) and strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online. Familiarity with Wagepoint or similar payroll platforms is a significant advantage.
- The Mindset: A process-driven finisher with a solid understanding of GL, AR/AP, and month-end reconciliations. You are tech-savvy, organized, and thrive in a remote reporting structure where independent problem-solving is valued.
