Position: Bookkeepers/ Accounts Analyst
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Analyst to deliver a full range of bookkeeping and accounting support to SME clients based in New Zealand. This role requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage day-to-day financial processes while communicating effectively with both internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Invoicing & Accounts Receivable
- Create client customer invoices.
- Send invoice reminders and statements to clients.
- Follow up overdue accounts and prepare action reports.
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices using data capture tools.
- Reconcile supplier invoices against statements.
- Prepare supplier batch payments.
Banking Activities
- Code bank account and credit card transactions from feeds.
- Receipt and reconcile debtor payments.
- Reconcile petty cash.
Payroll Processing
- Process payroll, including wage calculations and payments.
- Prepare PAYE returns.
- Process employee expense claims.
Compliance, Reporting & Clerical Duties
- Prepare NZ GST returns and other compliance reports.
- Perform electronic filing of invoices and source documents.
- Complete monthly adjustments and journals.
- Maintain fixed asset registers.
- Update client procedure manuals when required.
- Manage client and supplier emails and resolve accounting queries.
- Record time spent on client-related tasks.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance/Accounting-related field.
- CPA qualification preferred.
- Xero-certified.
- DEXT or Hubdoc certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably with SMEs and ANZ clients.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.

- Morning shift (NZ)
- Hybrid (2 onsite / 3 WFH) if based in Clark or nearby/ Remote with 1x a month onsite for other regions
