We are building a talent pool of skilled Bookkeepers / Accountants with strong experience in Xero and a solid understanding of STP Phase 2 (Single Touch Payroll). Candidates in this pool may be considered for upcoming permanent or long-term accounting roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and process payroll using Xero, ensuring compliance with STP Phase 2 reporting requirements.
- Generate financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review.
- Ensure timely and accurate BAS, GST, and other statutory submissions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other ad-hoc financial tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support on accounting processes and systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Xero Advisor Certification.
- Working knowledge of STP Phase 2 (Single Touch Payroll).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in remote or virtual accounting roles.
- Familiarity with other accounting tools and software.
