Description:
The Bookkeeper records the financial transactions and generates reports from that records. The recording of financial transactions includes postings to the Books of Accounts of data from received cash / checks, check vouchers and adjusting entries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Books of Accounts of the company and its affiliates.
- Ensure that correct entries are printed in the check vouchers and record properly.
- Ensure the accuracy of recorded transactions and reconciles accounts by performing a monthly Bank Reconciliation.
- Prepares monthly Trial Balance for Financial Statement preparation / presentation to be presented to the CFO.
- Provides information to the External Auditor who examines the company's financial statements and ensure that all records and files are always ready for audit.
- Ensure that all remittances to BIR, HDMF, SSS, Philhealth, other government agencies and monthly dues are prepared correctly and paid on time.
- Ensure that all Permits and Licenses are up to date.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Report significant issues that need to be addressed to the CFO.
- Strict compliance to the Accounting policies and procedures.
- Provides clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accountancy.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
- Exceptional time management, verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to work efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to multi-task and remain motivated and positive.
