Salary Range: Php 55,000 - Php 71,000

We are seeking a detail-oriented, eager-to-learn Intermediate Bookkeeper to perform core bookkeeping, Australian statutory activity statements, payroll processing, and client management functions. You will assist Australian public practice clients with ledger maintenance, ATO/ASIC compliance lodgments, workpaper setups, and general administrative support-with full training provided for more complex accounting tasks.
Your Impact
Bookkeeping & Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations in Xero, assist with fixed asset registers, depreciation calculations, HP schedules, journal entries, and balance sheet account reconciliations (GST, PAYGW, ATO Integrated Client Accounts).
Statutory Returns & Payroll: Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), basic Income Tax Returns (ITR), and process weekly payroll with Single Touch Payroll (STP) and superannuation lodgments in Xero.
Client Onboarding & Administrative Support: Set up new clients in Xero and the ATO portal, monitor outstanding client documentation, assist with ASIC and ATO lodgments (fine remissions, BAS extensions, SGC statements), follow up firm debtors, and maintain electronic records in FYI Docs and XPM.
Continuous Learning & Collaboration: Liaise professionally with client contacts, assist senior staff with workpaper setups, and participate in ongoing training to expand your technical accounting capabilities.
What You Bring
Education & Certifications: Relevant Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification (Degree in Accounting is highly desirable) alongside an active Xero Certification.
The Experience:2+ years of solid experience in bookkeeping, specifically within an Australian business or Australian accounting firm environment.
Software Competency: Practical experience using cloud accounting ecosystems (Xero, Xero Practice Manager / XPM, FYI Docs) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Core Competencies: Strong foundational understanding of Australian bookkeeping and accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, proactive organizational and time-management skills, and excellent written and verbal English communication.
