Role Description
The Bookkeeper role at GreenDevelopment Sustainable Solutions, Inc. is a full-time hybrid position based in Quezon City, with some work-from-home flexibility.
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including preparing and updating ledgers, recording journal entries, reconciling bank and credit accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. Day-to-day tasks include managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, tracking expenses and income, and ensuring that all transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounting software. The role also involves supporting monthly and annual closing activities, organizing financial documents for audits and compliance, and coordinating with internal teams to provide timely financial data for reporting and decision-making. The Bookkeeper is expected to follow established financial policies, maintain data confidentiality, and contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes.
Qualifications
- Solid bookkeeping skills with experience in maintaining ledgers and recording journal entries (Bookkeeping, Journal Entries (Accounting)).
- Ability to prepare, review, and interpret core financial reports (Financial Statements, Finance).
- Proficiency in commonly used accounting software and comfort with digital tools for financial management (Accounting Software).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills in handling financial data and documentation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities across office and remote settings.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; familiarity with local tax and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
