Role Snapshot

You own the end-to-end bookkeeping operations, payroll processing, and draft BAS preparation for Australian client accounts, ensuring financial records are accurate, reconciled, and compliant. Your daily work involves managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and Xero system maintenance following established Australian accounting standards and firm workflows.

This is not a general office support role. You operate within defined financial tasks, communicate daily with an Australian accounting firm, and are trusted to process data and reports accurately under tight deadlines. Best suited for accounting professionals who thrive in structured remote environments, value meticulous accuracy, and prefer clear operational standards over ambiguous responsibilities.

You're Likely a Strong Fit If You Have

• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting operations, supporting Australian client portfolios or accounting firms
• Hands-on proficiency with Xero and Microsoft Excel for payroll, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and reporting
• Direct exposure to Australian accounting context, including draft BAS preparation and superannuation compliance
• Home office setup suitable for full-time remote work, aligned with 6:00 AM–3:00 PM PH time working hours

Strong Signals

• Certified Xero Advisor or Xero Payroll Certified
• Formal degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
• Prior experience working in an offshore BPO or accounting services environment

Responsibility Pillars

Payroll & Compliance Management

You own the accurate processing of payroll and statutory obligations, ensuring employee records remain up to date and compliant.

• Process employee payroll cycles with high accuracy and maintain current payroll records
• Prepare superannuation contributions in line with Australian regulatory requirements

Financial Records & BAS Preparation

You manage daily bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and preliminary tax preparation for client entities.

• Maintain clean general ledgers, enter financial data, and perform regular bank reconciliations
• Prepare draft Business Activity Statements (BAS) for senior review
• Set up and maintain Xero files for new client entities

Accounts Payable & Receivable Operations

You ensure smooth cash flow tracking and transaction management across all assigned accounts.

• Execute accounts payable workflows, ensuring accurate documentation and timely payments
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoice generation and payment follow-ups
• Support month-end financial close activities and draft routine reporting packages
