The Role

This role is ideal for a remote-ready, tech-savvy professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in QuickBooks Online (QBO), excels in reconciliations and transactional data entry, and is eager to contribute to a team committed to operational excellence. You'll help ensure franchisees start with clean financial data and remain on solid footing as they grow.

Location: Must be in Philippines Remote

Environment: Philippine candidates are allowed to apply

Language: Excellent communication skills

Timezone: 9am - 6pm EST

Contract: Full-time Contract

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-client setting
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Strong reconciliation skills with experience cleaning up legacy data
  • Experience with Power BI or exposure to financial dashboard tools
  • Familiarity with franchise operations or service-based businesses
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data formatting)
  • Experience working in bookkeeping support roles alongside Account Managers or Controllers
  • Knowledge of AP automation tools
  • Characteristics:
  • Experience working in remote environments with distributed teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

Bookkeeping and Financial Record Management

  • Accurately record and categorize financial transactions using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry, payment processing, and reconciliations
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date general ledgers across multiple franchise entities

Data Cleanup and Franchise Onboarding

  • Assist with historical data clean-up and transaction corrections to ensure financial integrity
  • Support new franchisee onboarding by setting up QBO accounts and implementing standardized chart of accounts
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure smooth and timely transition of financial operations

Reporting and Analysis Support

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Help consolidate and format data for upload into Power BI for advanced analytics
  • Monitor financial data for inconsistencies or anomalies and flag for review

Process Improvement and Technology Integration

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and automation
  • Utilize tools like Excel and QBO integrations to streamline operations
  • Stay current with financial tech trends to recommend relevant tools and updates

Team Collaboration and Support

  • Provide responsive support to Account Managers and Controllers
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and ad hoc financial projects
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and responsiveness
