Who we are looking for:
BDC is looking for a skilled, highly motivated,detail-orientedand organized Bookkeeper to manageseveral portfolio company financial records, ensure accuracy of transactions, and support overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate willmaintainfinancial integrity by recording daily transactions, reconciling accounts, andassistingwith reporting and compliance requirements.We are an operationally led firm and culture that applies our unique operational knowledge into how weoperatethe firm and manage our investments.What sets us apart is that the same entrepreneurial spirit and energy that made us successful in an operational role should translate to building a different kind of investment firm.
What you will be working on:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Record day-to-day financial transactions andmaintainaccurategeneral ledger entries
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements on a regular basis
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Prepare and issue invoices and process vendor payments
Maintain payroll records and coordinate with payroll providers as needed
Assistin preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support budget tracking and expense monitoring
Maintain organized financial files and documentation
Assistwith audits and provide documentation asrequired
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations
About You:
Associate's orBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiencyin accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero)
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
