Job Purpose
Bench has always been at the forefront of Philippine lifestyle. Now, we are looking for a Beverage Designer to translate that same iconic Bench look and feel into a sensory experience. This isn't just about mixing ingredients; it's about liquid innovation. You will be the lead architect of our seasonal collections and signature staples, turning global coffee trends into local masterpieces.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept Creation: Design and develop original hot, cold, and specialty coffee beverages that align with Bench Coffee Station's brand identity and seasonal themes.
- Sensory Engineering: Conduct rigorous flavor profiling and cupping sessions to perfect brew ratios, syrups, and textures.
- Trend Forecasting: Stay ahead of the curve by researching global beverage movements, alternative ingredients, and innovative preparation techniques.
- Recipe Standardization: Translate creative experiments into precise, scalable SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) that can be executed flawlessly across all store locations.
- Sourcing & Collaboration: Work closely with the supply chain team to source premium beans and unique local ingredients, ensuring a balance of quality and cost-efficiency.
- The Visual Pour: Ensure every creation is as aesthetically pleasing as it is delicious—designing the visual presentation, garnishes, and glassware pairings.
Talent Profile
- The Innovator: 3+ years in specialty coffee with a deep-seated passion for the new. Experience in mixology, pastry, or food science is a significant plus.
- Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of espresso extraction, milk chemistry, and manual brewing, with the ability to manipulate variables to achieve specific flavor notes.
- Analytical Mind: Ability to balance creative flair with the practicalities of food cost, shelf life, and operational speed.
- Communication: Capable of presenting new concepts to Suyen Corp leadership with confidence and clarity.
- The Bench Spirit: A keen eye for design and a finger on the pulse of Filipino youth and lifestyle culture.
