The HR Benefits Associate is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant review and processing of employee loan applications in accordance with internal policies, guidelines, and service standards.
Responsibilities:
Loan Processing and Administration
- Reviews and evaluates employee loan applications (e.g., salary, car, housing, medical, emergency, and other company‑sponsored loans).
- Verifies supporting documents, endorsements, and approvals required for loan processing.
- Ensures accurate encoding and updating of loan information in HR and payroll-related systems.
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, clarifications, and escalations related to loan applications.
- Monitors loan turnaround times and ensure transactions are completed within published service level agreements.
Compliance and Controls
- Ensures loan processing activities comply with internal policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Maintains proper documentation and audit trails for all processed loan transactions.
- Flags policy deviations, recurring issues, or control gaps for review by supervisors.
Reporting and Insights
- Prepares regular operational and management reports on loan volume, processing turnaround time, approval rates, and exceptions for performance reviews.
- Analyzes loan data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and recurring issues affecting service delivery.
- Provides data‑driven insights and recommendations to improve efficiency, controls, and employee experience in loan processing.
Process Improvement and Support
- Recommends process, system, or policy enhancements based on analysis of loan processing data and employee feedback.
- Assists in testing, documentation, and implementation of process improvements or automation initiatives related to employee loans.
- Responds to employee inquiries on loan status, requirements, and policies in a professional and customer‑focused manner.
- Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related course.
- Working knowledge of employee loan programs, eligibility rules, and basic financial concepts.
- Preferably with experience in HR operations, benefits administration, loan processing, or a related transactional role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to generate reports and analyze data.
- Willing to be assigned in Makati City
