Job Description

Job Title: Bar Manager

Location: Seda BGC, Bonifacio Global City

Reports To: Director of Food & Beverage

Job Summary

The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, performance, and profitability of all bar outlets, including Straight Up Bar, Sikreto, and the Pool Bar. This role ensures exceptional guest experience, drives revenue through innovative beverage promotions, and maintains cost control while developing and training the bar team.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of Straight Up Bar, Sikreto, and Pool Bar to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor bar setup, opening/closing procedures, and inventory control.

Financial Management (P&L Accountability)

  • Manage and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for all bar outlets.
  • Control costs including beverage cost, labor cost, and operational expenses.
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust pricing or promotions accordingly.

Sales & Promotions

  • Conceptualize and implement creative beverage programs, signature cocktails, and seasonal promotions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to drive bar visibility and guest engagement.
  • Identify market trends and competitor activities to stay competitive.
  • Drive upselling techniques among staff to increase average check.

People Management & Training

  • Recruit, train, and develop bar team members to meet brand standards.
  • Conduct regular training on mixology, product knowledge, service excellence, and upselling.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and corrective actions when needed.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Manage procurement, stock levels, and inventory systems.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and ensure minimal wastage and pilferage.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of beverages and bar supplies.

Guest Experience

  • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by maintaining excellent service standards.
  • Handle guest feedback, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Build relationships with regular guests and VIP clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a hotel or upscale bar.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, bar operations, and beverage trends.
  • Proven experience in P&L management and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create innovative drink promotions and concepts.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
