We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect to design, implement, and govern scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions on Microsoft Azure. The Azure Architect will play a key role in translating business requirements into cloud architecture, setting technical standards, and guiding development teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end Azure cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements
- Lead cloud solution design across compute, networking, storage, security, and identity
- Define architecture standards, best practices, and governance models for Azure environments
- Design and implement high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to shape technical direction
- Review and validate technical designs and implementations from development teams
- Guide cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platform, re-architect)
- Optimize cloud costs using Azure cost management and monitoring tools
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Deep knowledge of Azure services such as:
- Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
- Azure Virtual Network, Load Balancer, Application Gateway
- Azure Active Directory, RBAC, Azure Security Center
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and identity management
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and hybrid cloud architectures
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Familiarity with DevOps and SRE practices
- Experience designing enterprise-scale or mission-critical systems
- Knowledge of compliance standards (ISO, SOC, GDPR, etc.)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, solution architecture, or senior engineering roles
