Your Day-to-Day

• Design and implement end-to-end solutions using Microsoft Azure services and/or SaaS platforms aligned with Chevron standards and industry best practices.

• Leverage existing architecture patterns or propose and develop new ones to strengthen enterprise architecture maturity.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, solution designs, and technical documentation.

• Lead the integration of multiple systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including mentoring junior architects and engineers.

• Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing solutions to identify optimization and improvement opportunities.

• Stay updated on emerging industry trends and technologies to keep solutions innovative and competitive.

• Develop and present proofs of concept to validate the feasibility of proposed solutions.

• Monitor and manage cloud service costs and ensure cost-efficient architectures.

• Design and implement disaster recovery plans to support business continuity.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in the oil and gas industry, and 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or similar role.

• Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions using a broad range of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and more.

• Proven experience applying the TOGAF framework to build and implement enterprise architecture solutions; TOGAF certification is highly preferred.

• Strong skills in implementing various architecture styles, design patterns, and software development best practices.

• Expertise in evaluating technology and product options, including performing modern trade-off analyses for architecture and design decisions.

• Ability to work through complex requirements, develop solution alternatives, and clearly articulate recommendations to stakeholders at multiple levels.

• Skilled in designing and implementing security best practices and compliance requirements relevant to the oil and gas industry.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications.

• Experience with data integration, data warehousing, and big data technologies.

• Experience with IoT solutions and edge computing.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

Amenable for 1 year contract, subject to extension
