Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Technical Specialist to join our IT team. This role involves enhancing and maintaining our existing AX 2012 environment, developing customizations, troubleshooting 3rd-level technical issues, and supporting business process improvements.
The ideal candidate is technically proficient in AX 2012, confident in independent problem-solving, and passionate about delivering high-quality solutions. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and unafraid to voice suggestions or concerns that may impact system performance or stability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 3rd-level support for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, including resolving complex technical issues
Customize and configure AX 2012 to meet evolving business needs
Develop and maintain X++ code, custom reports, and system integrations
Perform upgrades, hotfixes, and patches to ensure system reliability
Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes through system enhancements
Monitor system performance and implement optimizations
Support data migration and integration initiatives
Evaluate technical solutions and suggest improvements based on best practices
Share technical expertise and mentor team members when appropriate
Qualifications
Required:
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
In-depth knowledge of AX 2012 modules (Sales, Procurement, Finance, Inventory)
Proficiency in X++ and the MorphX development environment
Familiarity with AX 2012 architecture and data structures
Experience working with SQL Server and database management
Knowledge of AX reporting tools such as LaserNET and SSRS
Understanding of integration technologies like AIF and ReadSoft
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide feedback and challenge processes constructively
Preferred
Microsoft certifications in Dynamics AX
Project management experience
Background in environments that prioritize innovation and continuous improvement
Proven ability to identify system inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
