Designation: Automation Test Lead

Job Summary: Responsible for defining and driving the automation strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and software development processes. They lead the automation team, mentor engineers, and oversee the design and implementation of test automation frameworks. By evaluating and selecting appropriate automation tools, they ensure the efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of the test automation process. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into development workflows, mitigate risks, and improve overall software quality. Additionally, they report on automation progress, maintain transparency with stakeholders, and continuously refine automation best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the test automation strategy, ensuring alignment with project and organizational goals.
- Lead the development and maintenance of robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks. |Guide and mentor the automation team, reviewing test scripts and enforcing best practices.
- Select, evaluate, and implement automation tools and technologies suited to the organization's needs. |Work closely with development, DevOps, and testing teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish and monitor key automation metrics to track efficiency, stability, and effectiveness. |Identify and mitigate risks related to automation, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Communicate automation progress, challenges, and results to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure that automation scripts cover key business workflows, functional requirements, and regression scenarios. |Drive continuous improvements in automation processes by researching and adopting emerging testing technologies.
Required Experience:
- Typically has 5-8 years in test automation, with in-depth expertise in tools like TOSCA, Selenium, Appium, or JUnit.
- Skilled in developing and implementing automation frameworks and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities, mentoring junior engineers and managing automation efforts across projects.
