Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with 7+ years of experience in test automation, framework development, and automation strategy. The candidate will be responsible for driving automation initiatives across test phases, ensuring the scalability, stability, maintainability, and quality of automation suites.
The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Selenium with Java and Ginger, along with the ability to provide technical leadership, conduct code/design reviews, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the automation strategy, framework governance, and adoption of automation tools across different testing phases.
- Design, develop, execute, maintain, and enhance automated test suites.
- Ensure the scalability, stability, reliability, and maintainability of automation frameworks.
- Conduct automation framework design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Drive automation coverage improvements and identify opportunities to automate manual testing activities.
- Improve automation execution efficiency, test cycle time, reporting, and overall productivity.
- Maintain and enhance existing Ginger and Selenium Java automation suites.
- Analyze automation failures, identify root causes, and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
- Provide technical leadership for complex automation issues and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Monitor automation suite stability and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- Prepare and present automation execution reports, stability analysis, coverage metrics, and improvement plans.
- Establish automation best practices, coding standards, reusable components, and framework guidelines.
- Collaborate with QA, development, business, and project teams to ensure automation aligns with overall testing objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across automation processes, tools, frameworks, and execution practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level automation engineers and provide technical guidance.
Required Technical Skills
- 7+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Ginger and Java.
- Strong understanding of automation framework architecture and design.
- Experience in designing and maintaining scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of test automation lifecycle, including design, development, execution, maintenance, and reporting.
- Experience with automation execution analysis, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Good understanding of CI/CD and automated test execution pipelines.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in Java.

- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or telecom environments.
- Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of API testing and automation using tools such as Postman or REST-assured.
