About The Role
The Automation Officer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of automated processes and reporting systems within the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer. S/He works in close alignment with the Automation Lead and other management / key stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and decision-making by leveraging solution/ automation tools.
How you'll contribute
- Gathers and analyzes the business requirements and provides a solution design
- Identifies and evaluates opportunities for process automation and provides recommendations
- Creates the design, executes the development and implementation of automated processes/ workflows, and ensures that the desired outcome is delivered based on the designed team framework and with tangible benefits
- Delivers tools, automation, and reporting solutions for the Finance/ Compliance group using end-user managed applications such as, but not limited to, VBA, Microsoft tools (SharePoint, PowerBI, Power Automate), and others that require low-code or no-code, to meet business requirements tactically and/or augment or complement the functions of strategic applications
- Partner/ collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and/or business requirements to support the creation of the Automation Book of Work
- Provides training and support to end-users on automated processes and business solutions by conducting brown bag/training sessions regularly with end-users
- Makes a feasible plan based on the defined business requirements/ scope and solution design
- Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in the following:
- Automation strategies/ methodologies/ techniques and best practices
- Basic programming languages such as JavaScript, Power Apps such as Power BI, Power Automate, or other low code, no code automation applications
- Automation management tools such as JIRA, Trello and other related tools
- Knowledge/understanding of software development life cycle, Agile methodologies, software development principles, and risk management and regulatory compliance requirements
