Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Australian Accountant to manage end-to-end accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and comfortable working with accounting systems, reconciliations, and month-end processes in a fast-paced environment. Experience in Australian Accounting is strictly required.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable
- Process invoices, verify approvals, and manage payment runs
- Reconcile supplier statements, credit cards, and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain supplier records and respond to payment enquiries
- Support month-end AP closing and reporting
Payroll & Compliance
- Process fortnightly payroll and bank uploads
- Reconcile payroll, PAYG, superannuation, and leave balances
- Ensure compliance with GST, PAYG, and Super requirements
Month-End & Reconciliations
- Record monthly transactions and review expenses for completeness
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Financial Reporting
- Prepare periodic financial reports and reconcile general ledger
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and audit preparation
Ad Hoc Support
- Assist with general finance/admin tasks and office ordering as required
Requirements
- Experience in Australian Accounting is strictly required
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting
- Experience using MYOB AccountsRight (or similar accounting software) is strictly required
- Familiarity with SAP Concur, Definitiv (Payroll/HR), AirWallex, and MS Office Suite
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end processes, and financial controls
- Knowledge of GST, PAYG, and Superannuation compliance requirements
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
Work Environment & Expectations
While this is a work-from-home position, it is important to note that this is a full-time rolenot a freelance or flexible-hour arrangement. You will be expected to work a fixed shift and maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability, just as you would in an office environment.
This role requires:
- Discipline and commitment to set working hours (strict shift times, not flexible)
- Use of time tracking software during work hours
- Active participation in team and client calls with your camera ON
- Consistent availability and responsiveness throughout your shift
- Treating this as a long-term, full-time jobnot a side gig or freelance task
Payroll is processed bi-monthly.

Benefits
1. Monthly Salary: Php35,000
2. Salary will be paid on a bi-monthly basis on the 15th and 30th or 31st of each month
3. You will be paid extra for overtime and Philippines public holidays
4. Probation: 6 months and after Probation
