Job Title: Payroll Officer

Location: Ortigas, Pasig, PH

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Hybrid | 3x Onsite, 2x WFH)

JOB DETAILS:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong Australian payroll expertise to support our growing workforce. This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, payroll compliance, award/Enterprise Agreement interpretation, timesheet administration, and payroll-related reporting.

The successful candidate will work closely with the onshore Payroll Manager and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery across a workforce of approximately 250 employees.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing

  • Process weekly payroll for approximately 250 employees across multiple employment types.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, allowances, penalties, leave entitlements, and deductions.
  • Validate payroll data and reconcile payroll transactions prior to processing.
  • Manage payroll adjustments, back pays, terminations, and payroll corrections.

Timesheet and Rostering Administration

  • Review and validate employee timesheets and roster data.
  • Investigate discrepancies and liaise with managers regarding payroll exceptions.
  • Ensure accurate transfer of timesheet information into payroll systems.

Payroll Compliance

  • Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreement (EA) provisions, employment legislation, and payroll regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work requirements, superannuation, taxation, and statutory obligations.
  • Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation.

Systems Administration

  • Utilize Employment Hero Payroll and Employment Hero HR for payroll processing and employee records management.
  • Work with NetSuite data and reports as required.
  • Support payroll system improvements and process documentation initiatives.

Reporting and Stakeholder Support

  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
  • Respond to payroll-related employee and management enquiries.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with process improvements and payroll projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of Australian payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and Enterprise Agreement interpretation.
  • Experience processing high-volume payrolls.
  • Proven experience using Employment Hero Payroll and Employment Hero HR.
  • Experience using payroll systems and/or managing outsourced payroll services.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including VLOOKUPs and payroll reporting).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
