What You'll Do in the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance & Administration Officer to join our team. This role combines financial management with administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with statutory obligations.

Financial Management

  • Process wages, payroll, and dividends, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and lodge payroll tax.
  • Manage Superannuation contributions (quarterly).
  • Manage GST deferrals and ensure timely reporting.
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) for EOS.
  • Accounts Payable (A/P) - process and monitor supplier invoices.
  • Accounts Receivable (A/R) - follow up overdue payments.
  • Complete bank reconciliations (including invoice finance).

Operational Accounting and Administration

Daily

  • Record supplier invoices in JIWA.
  • Follow up unprocessed invoices via scan history.
  • Conduct accounts receivable follow-ups (payment chases).
  • Answer incoming calls and take messages for Technical & Sales teams.

Weekly

  • Distribute and check freight bills (StarTrack, Go Logistics, TNT) for NSW credit requests.

Monthly

  • Send monthly customer statements.
  • Follow up unprocessed invoices and send notifications to Sales.

Other Ad-hoc Duties

  • Set up new customers in JIWA.
  • Set up new suppliers in JIWA.

Skills /Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of payroll, tax, and superannuation compliance.
  • Experience with BAS preparation and GST management.
  • Solid bookkeeping and reconciliation skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (JIWA) - preferred no required.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting support roles.
  • Previous experience in distribution or wholesale industry advantageous.
