Job Description

As an Atlassian Engineer (JSM & Assets Specialist), you will design, implement, and support enterprise-grade JSM and Assets configurations for our clients. Youll work closely with project managers, consultants, and customer stakeholders to build tailored service management solutions, automate processes, and optimise the end-to-end Atlassian environment.

Youll also play a hands-on role in client implementations, migrations, integrations, and managed support, helping shape Corptecs growing Atlassian practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and configure Jira Service Management (JSM) projects including request types, SLAs, queues, workflows, approvals, and automation rules.
  • Implement and optimise Assets (formerly Insight) to build and manage CMDBs for IT and non-IT assets.
  • Develop object schemas, custom attributes, relationships, and automation within Assets.
  • Integrate JSM with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Opsgenie, Microsoft Entra, Slack, or custom APIs).
  • Support Atlassian Cloud migrations and configuration of user access, permissions, and roles.
  • Deliver enhancements, automation, and scripts using Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner, and REST APIs.
  • Conduct discovery workshops with clients to gather and translate business requirements into Atlassian solutions.
  • Develop documentation, runbooks, and provide handover/training for customer administrators.
  • Provide Tier 23 managed support for Atlassian customers under managed service model.
  • Collaborate with internal Atlassian team to develop templates, best practices, and reusable configurations.

Qualification And Requirements

Desirable (Nice-to-Have)

  • Atlassian certifications (ACP-420: JSM Projects, ACP-620, or ACP-520).
  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud to Cloud or Server to Cloud migrations.
  • Exposure to Opsgenie, Statuspage, or Bitbucket.
  • Experience in scripting languages (Groovy, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Background in ITSM, DevOps, or ITIL process implementation.
  • Familiarity with Connector apps like Elements Connect, Refined, or Tempo.

Non-negotiable Skills & Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Atlassian Administrator, Engineer, or Consultant.
  • Strong proficiency with Jira Service Management Cloud (or Data Center).
  • Proven experience designing and implementing Assets (Insight CMDB) including schemas, relationships, and automation.
  • Excellent understanding of service management processes (ITIL) and how they map to JSM.
  • Experience with Jira automation, ScriptRunner, and REST API integrations.
  • Understanding of user management and access control (Groups, Roles, Permissions).
  • Experience in migrating or integrating Jira and Confluence environments.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills comfortable engaging directly with customers.
