Job Description

As an Associate Category Manager, you will work with our top sellers to drive seller performance and growth – including identifying opportunities gaps, managing communication and relationships, and helping to unlock seller potential and growth.

To accomplish this, you will be provided with independence and support to drive portfolio and category strategy, execution, and performance supported by cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and friendly environment.

You will receive the opportunity to drive impact, independence and ownership, and the opportunity to develop essential skills across the spectrum – negotiation and communication, team management, portfolio strategy, implementation, and analysis.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Account management - driving business growth

  • Drive commercial growth through understanding customer needs and market trends to develop strategic portfolio management plans and initiatives
  • Analyzing sales data, trends and insights to identify appropriate product selection strategy for growth opportunities
  • Develop assortment and promotional plans to support overall category strategy. Be able to execute ideas and proposals for overall platform growth e.g. new seller programs or seller investments
  • Closely evaluate business performance and adjust strategies to ensure continuous growth and improvement.
  • Be contact point for key top sellers and solve issues from the root cause.

Business development

  • Support business development initiatives such as development a wishlist or new seller onboarding.
  • Attend partner meetings to support Business development team in new seller acquisition

Operations and campaign Management

  • Support day-to-day marketing operations including marketing campaign setup and marketing resource planning and execution
  • Execute operational initiatives to boost traffic and conversions.
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and propose new campaign ideas.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet business goals e.g. Marketing, User growth and customer experience

Analytic and Data Monitoring

  • Make data-driven decisions by monitoring and analyzing the data closely
  • Conduct market research to collect qualitative and quantitative data to generate impactful business insights to drive growth and profitability.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong industry background in e-commerce, Digital Goods category is preferred; backgrounds in tech platforms or digital marketing are also welcome.
  • Excellent English communication skills, enabling effective cross-team collaboration and issue resolution. Mandarin-speaking candidate is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with demonstrated ability to influence others.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to derive insights and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Proven track record in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
