Tasks and Responsibilities
As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in developing the Brand and Corporate Communications Business Unit by strategically growing and managing accounts assigned to you. The position requires being able to competently analyze the clients challenges, to design and execute good strategy, and to serve as an advisor for engaging stakeholders.
You are required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner:
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with existing clients; find ways to collaborate beyond a pre-defined scope of work
- Provide strategic inputs in public relations and digital marketing campaign development, agency management, client servicing, and stakeholder alignments
- Establish and deepen Evident's relationship with traditional and non-traditional media; improve the firm's ongoing media relations practice; introduce junior staff to journalists
- Help lead and mentor BCC staff in the execution of PR and DM campaigns and client engagements. Discover and develop their unique strengths in order to see where and how they can contribute better to the organization.
- Execute and operationalize client contracts
- Respond to clients requests for advisory and consultation for, but not limited to strategy development, communication planning, community relations, business intelligence
- Lead and facilitate business development activities: help find leads, develop the pipeline, and win contracts
- Review or create new processes to improve BCC's coordination with other departments (Advocacy Communications, Strategy and Insights, Creative Services, Business Development, Finance, Operations, and HR)
- Develop and maintain relationships with various Evident stakeholders: government officials, private sector associations, and multilateral institutions
- Pursue development of new products based on available resources and team capability
As an Associate Director, you are expected to:

- Have good interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to relate well with others
- Have an extensive background in media relations, communication planning, and client servicing. Agency experience is not required, but preferred.
