Job Description

Summary

The Associate Consultant supports the Financial Due Diligence team in analyzing and interpreting financial data to deliver high-quality insights for M&A transactions. The role involves summarizing financial information, preparing data books, reconciling management data with audited statements, identifying key trends and anomalies, and assisting in report preparation and review. Working closely with senior team members and global counterparts, the Associate Consultant contributes to the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of deliverables. This position is ideal for individuals with strong analytical and accounting foundations who are eager to develop expertise in deal advisory within a collaborative, high-performing environment. Roles & responsibilities

•Summarizing and analyzing financial information (trial balances, income statements, balance sheets and cash flows).

•Preparation of data books in accordance with firm and professional standards and in accordance with the requirements of the project.

•Reconciling information provided by management with the audited financial information.

•Identification of issues and carrying out the relevant financial analysis.

•Highlighting unusual trends, observations and framing questions for management.

•Performing review of KPMG reports for consistency.

•Establishing strong professional relationships with team members.

Educational qualifications

•MBA Finance, CFA, CPA, Post-graduate in Finance or CA

Work experience

•Prior experience, if any, in performing detailed financial statement analysis and a strong academic foundation knowledge of the field of accounting.
