Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the Tax and Compliance Manager in handling the Taxes and Compliance Team. Also, he/she helps in establishing and implementing Taxes and Compliance Guidelines
- Ensures the team complies with company policies and procedures
- Reviews existing Taxes and Compliance and related processes and suggests improvements
- Ensures timely compliance to BIR, LGU, SEC and other concerned government agencies requirements
- Ensures correctness of taxes withheld and remitted
- Ensures taxes and licenses are filed and paid on time
- Provides schedules/documents to external and government auditors in coordination with the Controller and the Finance Director
- Maintains a database of all taxes filed and paid by the Group
- Leads preparation schedules for monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns
- Provides the supporting schedules for annual audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related field
- At least 3 years relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting or similar field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and relevant software
