Job Description

An Assistant Merchandising Manager drives product sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency by supporting the merchandising team, analyzing sales data, and managing vendor relationships. Key responsibilities include planning assortments, overseeing stock levels, setting prices/promotions, and coordinating with retail teams to optimize product placement and visual displays.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Conduct market research and identify industry trends.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop pricing strategies and manage inventory levels to maximize profitability.
  • Work with marketing teams on promotions and advertising campaigns.
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback for data-driven decisions.
  • Identify sales trends and update merchandising strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare annual merchandise budgets and adjust based on performance and market changes.
  • Coordinate with departments such as marketing, operations, and finance.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Plan seasonal merchandise changes and promotions.
  • Visit stores to monitor trends and product displays.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to merchandising procurement and management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in merchandising or related field.
  • Familiarity with luxury watch or high-end retail brands (fashion/accessories) is a plus.
  • Experience with SM consignment and department stores.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Good math and numerical ability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement merchandising strategies.
  • Knowledge of market trends and retail principles.
  • No buying/purchasing required.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Must be able to start immediately.
