The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing programs and initiatives to achieve business objectives. The role supports brand and sales alignment by leading trade marketing strategies, customer programs, and on-ground execution.
He/She will act as the key liaison between the Sales and Marketing teams, ensuring consistent implementation of brand strategy across trade channels. The role also involves supervising Field Marketing Coordinators (FMCs), managing trade budgets, and maintaining strong customer and partner relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute trade marketing strategies aligned with the overall brand strategy, including but not limited to merchandising, promotions, and trade events.
2. Act as the key liaison officer between the Sales and Marketing departments to ensure synchronized programs and initiatives.
3. Maintain and develop good customer relationships, addressing marketing and trade requirements.
4. Cultivate programs that drive product sell-in and ensure continuous sell-out support.
5. Plan and execute marketing activities and events to expand brand reach and generate leads.
6. Research, scan, and monitor market conditions, competition, and emerging trends to support marketing and sales decisions.
7. Evaluate and endorse Marketing Scorecards and KPIs for Trade Programs.
8. Plan and execute webinars, training sessions, and engagement activities for trade partners.
9. Support B2B and Marine marketing initiatives.
10. Ensure all marketing activities are implemented within the approved budget and deliver measurable returns.
11. Supervise and guide Field Marketing Coordinators (FMCs).
12. Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Marketing Manager or Chief Commercial Officer.
13. Optimize the use of lubrication service programs to drive growth in higher-value product and service sales.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
BS/BA in Marketing, Business Administration, or related business degrees BS/BA in Marketing, Business Administration, or related business degrees
Other professional certification is a plus
5 years marketing experience; Marketing/Trade Marketing or related.
2 years supervisory experience
