Job Overview
The Assistant Manager – Operations (Corporate Travel) is responsible for managing a team handling complex corporate travel itineraries. This role requires strong leadership, deep expertise in GDS systems, and the ability to drive team performance while meeting KPIs and SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of L2 agents trained in handling complex travel itineraries
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ticketing to support the team and intervene when necessary
- Ensure team meets all defined KPIs and SLAs
- Deliver results through effective people management and leadership
- Conduct administrative and supervisory functions for the team
- Lead and facilitate conference calls with confidence
- Prepare and present dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using Excel and presentation tools
- Handle escalations, conflicts, and provide resolution effectively
Qualifications
- Required: Experience with GDS systems using cryptic/native commands
- Must have recent or current experience in a corporate travel account
- Minimum of 2–3 years of team management experience in corporate travel
- Experience managing teams handling complex travel itineraries
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong analytical and conflict management abilities
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools
