Job Description

We're looking for an Assistant Manager, Governance and Reporting to join our Integrated Compliance Services team at MBPS. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that governance processes are properly implemented, monitored, and communicated across the business. Responsibilities include coordinating governance activities, maintaining policy documentation, tracking compliance metrics and preparing reports for senior compliance leadership team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain governance dashboards, compliance reports for senior leadership team
  • Consolidate relevant data from various stakeholders to create relevant reports to be presented to senior leadership team
  • Analyze trends and data patterns to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation
  • Identify opportunities to enhance governance processes and reporting mechanisms.
  • Support automation and digitization initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy in governance reporting
  • Support in keeping the policy and procedure documentation updated and complete
  • Helps monitor and track compliance activities including its metrics
  • Ensure all compliance-related data is updated, accurate, complete, and well-organized for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Other related tasks that may be assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • With at least 5+ years of experience in compliance, governance or reporting roles
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably related to Banking, Finance, Insurance, Accounting or related course

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in negotiating, influencing, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and excellent execution of the action plans
  • Strong ethical compass and discipline
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of management in the organization.
  • Ability to facilitate decision making across groups in the company.
  • Ability to set priorities, managing overlapping timelines and competing demands
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry and regulatory environment with an advanced understanding of the Company's business
  • Ability to represent business internally within the company and externally outside of the company (e.g. regulators, industry peers)
