Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Finance Assistant Manager's main function is to perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and budgeting. He/She shall also assist the team in providing timely delivery of relevant, complete, and accurate information to top management, shareholders, lenders, credit agencies, and regulators.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

FINANCIAL PLANNING & BUDGETING

  1. Preparation of financial forecast such as annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, 5Y plans, and long-term strategic financial projections
  2. Conduct variance analysis and trend monitoring to identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions
  3. Consolidate various financial data and collaborate with business units, other departments, and the Head Office, as needed
  4. Track macroeconomic and industry trends to inform financial forecasts and business strategy
  5. Ensure all financial reporting adheres to IFRS/PFRS standards and internal company policies
  6. Preparation of the financing plan and calculation of periodic toll rate petitions
  7. Preparation of financial models

CORPORATE PLANNING AND INVESTOR RELATIONS

  1. Prepare / Consolidate management reports and presentation slides to shareholders during Board meetings
  2. Prepare relevant information and analysis of the company's financial and operational performance as required on a periodic basis by the top management
  3. Prepare a financial model for impairment testing as may be required by the external auditor
  4. Manage compliance with various regulatory requirements of the shareholders and regulators
  5. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior(s)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Accountancy / Finance / Economics, or equivalent

Experience:

Assistant Manager: At least five (5) years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, and/or accounting.

Licenses:

Certified Public Accountant

Others:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
