Job Description

The Medical City Clark is looking for highly competent Assistant Manager - Biomedical Engineering to lead and oversee the maintenance, safety, and optimal performance of medical equipment across the hospital. This role is instrumental in ensuring the reliability, regulatory compliance, and lifecycle management of all biomedical devices in support of seamless clinical operations.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and manage the Biomedical Engineering team in the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and respond promptly to technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with clinical departments to assess equipment needs and provide technical support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and service reports.
  • Assist in evaluating, recommending, and procuring new biomedical equipment.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party service providers when necessary.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance biomedical systems and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical course.
  • Preferably a licensed Electronics Engineer (ECE) or equivalent certification.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in hospital biomedical operations, with supervisory experience as an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in documentation, reporting, and MS Office applications.
  • Willing to work in a dynamic hospital environment dedicated to safety, precision, and excellence.
