Job Description
The Asset Performance Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of solar photovoltaic (PV) assets to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards. This role focuses on system performance analysis, issue identification, and continuous improvement of renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the performance of Solar PV systems to ensure optimal energy output
- Identify performance issues, losses, and inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Support Solar PV system design reviews and performance optimization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards for PV installations and operations
- Prepare technical reports, performance analyses, and recommendations
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve performance-related concerns
- Support commissioning, testing, and ongoing monitoring activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to asset performance
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Photovoltaic Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in Solar PV system design and/or performance monitoring
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to PV installations
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Willing to work onsite and on a shifting schedule
- Must be able to start ASAP
