Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experiencedAccounts Receivable (AR) Specialistto supportUS Healthcare Revenue Cycle Managementoperations. This role is responsible for managing insurance accounts receivable, resolving denied or underpaid claims, and ensuring timely reimbursement from government and commercial payers. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of payer regulations, appeals processes, and healthcare billing systems, particularly EPIC.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable for Medicare, Medi-Cal, TPL, managed care, and commercial payers
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims within timely filing limits
- Review EOBs and UB-04 forms to reconcile payments and evaluate underpayments
- Prepare and submit technical appeals and payer correspondence
- Communicate with insurance representatives to resolve billing discrepancies
- Process credit balance adjustments and refunds
- Review eligibility, authorizations, and coordination of benefits (COB)
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Track claim activity and document follow-ups in EPIC and related systems
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reimbursement
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and recommend process improvements
Key Qualifications
- At least SHS graduate
- Minimum 2 years of U.S. healthcare accounts receivable experience
- Experience handling Medicare, Medi-Cal, TPL, and commercial payers
- Strong knowledge of EOB interpretation, UB-04 forms, COB, and denial management
- Experience processing credit balance adjustments and refunds
- Proficient in payer portals for claims follow-up and appeals
- EPIC Systems experience required(other EHR systems like Meditech are a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Amenable to onsite (Ortigas) and night shift work
