Iron Mountain is seeking a talented and self-driven Platform Engineer (Level 3 Support) to join our Enterprise IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering world-class operational excellence and designing automation tools to enhance application self-healing and monitoring. Our team manages the full lifecycle of customers physical and digital records, offering predictive insights into their data. We are expanding and developing innovative products using cutting-edge technology in machine learning and cloud services, while also supporting existing digital solutions across various platforms and architectures.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Drive automation and operational efficiency: Conduct deep analysis of solutions and operational procedures to identify opportunities for tooling; design and implement automation tools using Python or Bash to handle monitoring, alerting, and application self-healing.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Clients: Proactively communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, join critical incident calls to assist in application tuning, and onboard new clients onto our digital solutions to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure system stability and continuous improvement: participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and deep-dive troubleshooting to find permanent solutions, maintain documentation to eliminate technical debt, and manage application monitor notifications to proactively address problems.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in engineering or L3 support, with a specific focus on creating tools for automation, debugging, and monitoring enterprise-level applications.
- Strong knowledge of common scripting languages (Python, Bash), Linux/Unix operating systems, REST APIs, and basic SQL/Elasticsearch queries. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and full-stack troubleshooting (HTML, JavaScript) is highly preferred.
- Proven ability in root cause analysis, deep technical troubleshooting, and working independently in a fast-paced, 100% remote environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or MCA, or equivalent experience.
