Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Application Support Analyst to support data governance and operational workflows. This role will focus on analyzing reports generated from BigID, managing service requests through ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure data-related issues are tracked and resolved.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret reports generated from BigID and similar data discovery/governance tools
- Identify data issues (e.g., sensitive data exposure, classification gaps) and prepare actionable insights
- Log, manage, and track tickets in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for remediation by client teams
- Prioritize incidents and requests based on severity and business impact
- Monitor and follow up on open tickets to ensure timely resolution
- Support operational workflows related to data governance and compliance
- Work with structured and semi-structured datasets to validate and analyze findings
- Collaborate with internal and client stakeholders to ensure proper handling of sensitive data
- Maintain documentation and reporting for ongoing support activities
Job Qualifications
- Around 4 years of experience in Application Support, IT Operations, or Data Analysis roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), including ticket logging, prioritization, and tracking
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, basic macros)
- Experience working with BI/reporting tools or analyzing data outputs from ETL processes
- Understanding of:
- Data sensitivity and classification
- PCI (Payment Card Industry) and PII (Personally Identifiable Information)
- Structured and semi-structured data formats
- Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
