API Developer Consultant

WE ARE LOOKING FOR .....The API Developer will perform build, deploy, test, maintain and document AIA PH Insurance Servicing and Local Partnership APIs
Should have hands on technical experience with expertise in API and Microservices development. Will work closely with the Integration Architect and Product Owners to translate the integration and functional requirements into solution components and reusable building blocks.
ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate should have solid coding experience, understanding of Microservice Architecture and familiarity with Cloud platforms. The candidate will also have:
Experience building APIs for both internal and external consumption Hands on development experience with Spring Boot & Microservices and RESTful services Experience with frameworks for documenting and designing APIs, preferably API3.0/Swagger Knowledge of standard tools for developing, optimizing and testing code Knowledge of SQL and DB Design Experience in using CI/CD and Continuous Testing Knowledge in cloud platforms preferably Azure Familiar with DevOps and related tools Familiarity with version control tools
The candidate is expected to:
Define specifications and develop programs Modify existing programs Provide Level 2 Support Deliver a delightful customer support experience Work with partners that provide various capabilities Work and collaborate with group of technical engineers across multiple teams Use AIA standard technology stack/tools to accomplish specific development use cases encountered within the project
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENT
Education:
Bachelor's degree (S1) Degree in Technical/Information System/Other related educations
Experience:
Minimum of five years experience in system development as lead developer/engineer or developer/engineer.
Essential Capabilities:
Must Have

• 5+ years experience with application development
• 2+ years experience in API & Microservices development
• Understanding of cloud computing technologies
• Hands on experience in one or more of the following:
  • Java Programming
  • Spring Framework, Microservices
  • JPA, SQL
  • Open API Specifications
  • DevOps & CI/CD
  • App Service, Service Bus, Event Hub, Mobile Apps
• Familiarity with Enterprise Service Bus and SOAP Services
• Experience in using/Understanding of the UML notation
