How You Will Make An Impact
You will belong in an organization with over 140 years of heritage as a European cooperative, being a strong team leader requires a mindset where you can work across all business units and navigate in a matrix organization, it also requires you to be a team player, where you see the value of teamwork and collaboration.
- You will perform end‑to‑end accounts payable processing, including three‑way matching (PO, GR, invoice), GL coding, and posting in accordance with accounting standards and internal controls
- You will execute payment runs (checks, ACH/wire, electronic payments), manage vendor master data, and ensure adherence to agreed payment terms and cash‑flow requirements
- You will reconcile vendor statements and AP subledger to the general ledger, investigating and resolving variances and aged balances
- You will support financial close activities by preparing AP accruals, account reconciliations, and period‑end reporting schedules
- You will ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and audit requirements (e.g., VAT/GST, withholding tax, SOX controls) while identifying process efficiency and automation opportunities
The AP Accountant will be part of the Accounting Operations team and will report directly to the Assistant Accounting Operations Manager.
What Will Make You Successful
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related business course
- You have 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting; FMCG, shared services, or multinational exposure preferred
- You have working knowledge of AP processes, including three‑way matching, accruals, and subledger‑to‑GL reconciliation
- You are familiar with Philippine tax requirements impacting AP (e.g., VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax, BIR forms such as 2307 and 1601EQ)
- You have experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and strong MS Excel skills
- You are organized, results-driven, thrives in a dynamic work environment, able to create sound decisions and demonstrates ownership
- You can do thorough data analysis and confidently communicate results and insights for action planning
