ANALYST, PHILIPPINES

Position

The analyst will be supporting various aspects of research, monitoring, and internal firm work.


We expect the candidate to have a keen mind and intellectual curiosity for policy, industry development, and politics in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. You will be conducting desk and primary research on economic, political, regulatory, and policy issues covering a broad range of industries in support of client work, proposals, and business development activities of senior colleagues.


A strong ability to identify relevant information, credible sources, and produce written output in a clear and concise manner is necessary. We expect the candidate to address various research requests with a high degree of competency and organization. Engagement with government agencies and relevant stakeholders, drafting and preparing briefing kits, monitoring and analytical reports, presentations, and meeting notes, will be part of your daily work.


Qualifications

  • Philippine national, with at least 2 years relevant work experience preferred in legislative or executive government branches, research, journalism, government relations, public affairs, law, consulting, or think tanks.
  • Fresh graduates with an exceptional academic, extracurricular, and internship record may be considered.
  • Excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in both English and Filipino. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge and interest in political and economic issues and developments in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
  • Broad knowledge of functioning and protocol of the Philippine government.
  • Pro-active, with strong time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-cultural settings and in a team.
  • Undergraduate degree preferably in analytical fields such as management, business, economics, public policy, history, law, or international relations. An advanced degree is a value-add.
