Job Mandate
- Demonstrate ability to gather and understand business requirements for IT.
- Develop test cases, test plans, manage and execute testing for application developed in order to ensure that they meet the quality requirements of the business.
- Perform basic troubleshooting in the event of failure to log defect appropriately.
- Good understanding of the SDLC around testing and all phases of testing (UT, SIT, UAT, Performance Testing)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure Test Process are followed according to the SDLC and TCOE Test Process
- Document lessons learned, issues, key operating procedures (KOP) for enhancing internal processes,
- Confirm business requirements in partnership and collaboration with the business and obtaining sign off.
- Formulate and create functional design with documentation and specifications, closely working with application owners/solution architects and technical specialists
- Conduct and document gaps between proposed solutions options and current state technology
- Assess test scope, plans and scenarios to ensure 100% scope coverage
- Evaluate test results work with the testing team to address any testing issues, debugging and remediation actions.
- Monitors UAT Testing for defect leakages and drives investigation and root cause analysis whether defect should have been caught in their Test Stage scope.
- Assures quality of delivered applications and their compliances with the functional and technical requirements.
- Plans and coordinates applications functional testing of assigned projects based on direction from delivery manager
- Test systems, reports on results, and tracks defects in coordination with Business and IT
- Assures quality of delivered applications and their compliances with the functional and technical requirements
- Handles tests execution and result reporting in compliance of IT policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Handles and maintains testing documents (test cases, testing plans and reports)
- Reports results and defect in a timely manner to Business and IT; and work closely with them to develop solutions
- Provides testing expertise, direction and assistance to all stakeholders.
- Conducts/drives defect triage meeting
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
- At least 5 years of experience in IT development, programming and testing
- At least 3 projects worked on a testing team through the life cycle of a project
- Experienced in test automation tools (e.g ALM, TOSCA, QFT, LoadRunner)
- Knowledge Area: Business Requirements Gathering, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Regression, Smoke & E2E Testing, Basic API Testing using Postman, Integration and UI Testing, Mobile and Web Testing, Defect and Bug Discovery
- Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati/Ortigas
