The Analyst I Software Asset Management (SAM) is responsible for providing operational support and administrative assistance to the LNRSG Software Asset Management team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate records and databases related to software licenses, warranties, and service agreements.
This position works closely with the LNRSG SAM team, local SAM Analysts, Category Managers, and the Manila Entitlements Team to ensure accurate tracking of software assets and compliance with supplier licensing terms.
The primary objective of this role is to support software license compliance, entitlement tracking, and documentation while identifying opportunities to improve SAM processes and operational efficiency.
Note:
This role will not directly enter software entitlements (except in exceptional cases).
The role will serve as a liaison between LNRSG and the Manila Entitlements Team.
Maintain and update records related to software licensing, warranties, and service agreements.
Support ad-hoc research, reporting, and analysis related to software entitlements.
Assist in ensuring all software purchase requests are properly documented and entitlement records are submitted to the ITAM Entitlements Team.
Support compliance tracking related to supplier licensing agreements and entitlements.
Assist with administrative financial processes within the ITAM team, including:
Purchase order processing
Credit card reconciliation
Cost center coding using financial systems
Process pre-approved renewals and quotes (training will be provided; no prior purchasing experience required).
Note: These responsibilities are administrative in nature and do not require full procurement expertise.
Respond to user email inquiries related to ITAM activities.
Update and maintain case status and records within ServiceNow.
Perform other related duties as assigned as the role evolves.
The Software Asset Management function ensures accurate processing of software purchase transactions through payment and deployment. The role supports reconciliation and accuracy of all purchased software/hardware assets and helps mitigate compliance risks across LNRSG.
The Analyst I works closely with assigned Category Managers to understand licensing strategies and drive results aligned with SAM metrics and business objectives.
Key Skills & ExperienceExperience in asset lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and process improvement.
Working knowledge of purchasing and asset management environments.
Understanding of software licensing concepts and maintenance agreements.
Ability to reconcile procured software rights and quantities with deployed assets to ensure compliance.
Knowledge of procurement lifecycle and best practices.
Experience with SAM tools such as ServiceNow, Fusion, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
