Reports to: Founder (John Li)

Focus: Amazon first, with expansion into other media channels.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Amazon Media Buyer who lives inside Amazon Ads and treats budget allocation like trading capital. This role owns execution, incrementality, and weekly optimization, while partnering closely with the Founder on strategy.

Amazon is our largest revenue driver. The goal of this role is not set and forget, but to continuously test, scale, and reallocate spend toward true incremental growth, especially during peak periods like V Day, Mother's Day, Prime Day, BFCM, and Christmas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day Amazon Ads execution
  • Actively manage large daily budgets with discipline around ROAS, TACoS, and incrementality
  • Design and run incrementality tests (broad vs phrase vs exact, conquesting, budget reallocation)
  • Identify and scale keyword and structure arbitrage opportunities (e.g. broad mining, defensive vs offensive campaigns)
  • Optimize bids, budgets, placements, and negatives on a weekly and daily cadence
  • Build clean campaign structures with clear intent and reporting visibility
  • Partner with the Founder on weekly strategy reviews and testing roadmaps
  • Expand winning Amazon frameworks to Walmart, Target, Instacart over time
  • Coordinate with creative and product teams to align ads with pricing, promos, and inventory levels
  • Be fully engaged during peak periods (Prime Day, holidays, major promos)

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear visibility into where spend is truly incremental vs cannibalizing organic
  • Faster learning cycles and tighter feedback loops on spend efficiency
  • Improved contribution margin through smarter allocation, not just higher ROAS
  • Founder fully out of day-to-day Amazon PPC execution

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on Amazon Ads experience managing meaningful spend
  • Deep understanding of Amazon auction dynamics and keyword intent
  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort testing hypotheses weekly
  • Highly organized with clean naming conventions and documentation
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-spend environments
  • Experience in CPG or high-velocity Amazon brands strongly preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing other media such as Walmart, Target, Instacart ads, and TV
  • Exposure to Meta or Google Ads (not required)
  • Agency background with strong operator mindset

Compensation

$50,000 USD Salary + Performance Bonus
