Job Description

The Alumni Engagement and Networking Officer is responsible for developing,

organizing, and implementing alumni engagement and networking initiatives that

strengthen connections between the University and its alumni communities. The

position ensures that alumni programs are well-planned, communicated effectively,

and aligned with the University's strategic thrusts, both locally and internationally.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

I. Alumni Engagement

  • Supports the design and implementation of alumni engagement and networking programs in line with University priorities
  • Assists in organizing alumni associations at the department or program level of Higher Education units (e.g., FAME, SAGE) as well as at the regional and international level
  • Coordinates with Ateneo Alumni Association (AAA) to align their activities with University initiatives
  • Prepares communication materials and website content for alumni
  • engagement programs, ensuring alignment with the University Marketing
  • and Communications Office (UMCO)

II. Alumni Networking

  • Establishes and nurtures long-term relationships with alumni by maintaining consistent communication through regular outreach initiatives
  • Liaises with regional and international alumni associations by facilitating regular communication, sharing updates on University thrusts, and coordinating joint initiatives and events to ensure alignment with the OUDAA and Ateneo's strategic goals
  • Connects with alumni based in the different regions of the Philippines and encourages them to create or join existing Ateneo alumni associations or chapters
  • Implements and assists in the execution of the Ateneans-helping-Ateneans project of OUDAA
  • Organizes activities and events catering to regional and international alumni (e.g., tours, pilgrimages, cruises)
  • Works with the Office of Placement and Career Services (OPCS) regarding alumnistudent mentorship programs
  • Coordinates with the OPCS regarding providing resources and support to
  • alumni seeking career advancement or change
  • Coordinates with alumni offices of other universities for benchmarking of programs, fundraising/advancement activities, and operational systems

III. Alumni-Donor Networking and Stewardship Support

  • Collaborate with the Donor Stewardship Team to integrate alumni-donor relationship-building into networking initiatives
  • Aligns with the Campaign & Marketing Team and UMCO in preparing alumni communications that highlight donor impact within networking stories and events
  • Supports alumni-donor data management as the first point of alumni engagement

IV. Performs other work-related tasks as may be required by the immediate

supervisor and authorized representative

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business

An Ateneo alumnus/alumna is a must

With at least 3 years of relevant work experience such as in Communication

or Marketing
